Hello

Could anyone tell me if it is o.k to connect my Whirlpool Oven to a 13amp socket. The oven is a 2.3kw and the instruction manual shows a power supply table which states Type of cable required being H05 RR-F 3x1.5mm2. The model number is AK2456/ix if that is any help.

Thanks

yes you can but bear i mind that's a considerable draw if you put it on the general ring main in the kitchen..

I'd prefer to see it wired into a flex outlet plate behind the units, with a fused spur above so that if it blows the fuse you don't have to dig out the contents of a cupboard or pull the oven out to change the fuse..

cable type is 60C 3x1.5 rubber flex... heat resistant immersion cable should do just as good if you can't find it..

At the moment I believe the cooker is connected to a cooker socket, however I'd like to replace my gas hob for a ceramic. I was thinking that I could run the hob from the 32amp cooker socket and run the cooker off the socket that the gas hob ignition was plugged in to. Does that sound feasible.
