Much to my dismay, on my next central heating job i am having to use 10mm speedfit from manifold to rad. Can you give me any advice on the neatest way to drop pipes down wall and then to pipe rads. Have used back boxes buried in wall at centre of rad before but was not happy with the finish. Wish copper was cheaper. thanks

Copper every time, but if you can't chase it in use some decent trunking

The 10mm JG pipes buried in the walls is very common on new builds and a method we employ all the time, even without back boxes - if prices are tight. Just ensure the pipe doesn't droop below the rad, that like sh.te! Oh & use street elbows at the valves.

Push Fit plastic is great stuff, if you can't see it.
