Hello, I am new here, thankyou for letting me join your forum.
I would like some advice please.
I am converting a cellar which is mostly above ground.
a pit has been finished at the front of the property and external drainage has been installed and now I am looking to put the windows in the front wall of the cellar, there are three windows in three rooms
The wall is 9" solid brickwork (rendered finish) with corbelling supporting the floor joists above, the corbelling extends out a brick width making the wall 13" at the top,
the corbelling has to go, I would imagine I need a wide concrete lintel ? to support the joists and masonry.... 13 " wide lintel ? special Uni Beam ?
I would appreciate any help or ideas.
Thanks
