corsa b lacking power when cold

hello guys,,

When i start my car when its cold its fine but when i drive it and put my foot ddown it seems to struggle gettin to speed and also has no power but when its warm it runs perfectly no problems what soo ever

help please :)

but its not over heating it just strggles to get to speeed its gettin quite worrin now beacause its getting worse and worse

The CTS doesn't control coolant, the thermostat does that. So a faulty CTS wont cause a car to overheat.

The CTS tells the ECU what temperature the coolant is, that way the ECU can modify the fuel trims accordingly. The CTS usually feeds the dash display as well, this is often the same sensor but I believe some cars have seperate sensors.

Get the fault codes read first is probably the best thing to do.

The coolant temp sensor sends a signal to the E.C.U. ( engine control unit )
which adjusts the air/fuel ratio. It works like the old choke but it is controlled by the E.C.U. It does not control the temp it just sends information.
