A few weeks ago I found that my son's 3 door Corsa C passenger side rear foot well was flooded. I drilled a 5mm hole into the plastic bung/grommet to drain it. The carpet in this area is still getting wet and I can not trace where the water is coming from (door seals seam ok) would be grateful for any ideas

check the skuttle panel drains as sometimes they block and over flow into the cabin

+1 for the scuttle area solutions, especially these days when the leaves are falling.
If the car has a sunroof, the channel drains could also be blocked at the bottom.
John :)

Thanks all for your input. bearing in mind it is only the nearside rear footwell, the rest is dry. No sunroof. Erm! what's the skuttle panel

The bit under the bonnet and under the windscreen, if you know what I mean?

Though if the front bit isn't wet? Might be worth looking at the side window/boot/top hinge area of the tailgate/aerial as a source.

The list goes on and on

Good luck

See if the water appears in the boot first.....its not uncommon for water to come in via the rear light clusters and then run forward.
