I'm hoping someone may be able to advise me. My living room is covered in textured wallpaper which has several coats of paint on it. I want to create a feature wall, using a contrasting paper and I guess I'm looking for an easy answer. Is there a product which is easy to use (I'm a DIY novice  ) that will cover up the paper on the wall I want to change, rather than having to go to the trouble of stripping off the paper and possibly damaging the paper that I don't want to change?

Take the paper off the desired feature wall. But before stripping, then run a stanley knife down both internal corners and meeting wall to cieling. This create a break for whilst you are stripping the feature wall.

Please dont attempt to paper over textured paper it will look horrendous, strip it like third eye says, and if wall is krap, then line it.:)

Thanks to you both. I hadn't thought of using a Stanley knife to help prevent damage to other walls. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and strip the wall. At least it's only one wall, eh! Thanks again :D
