Masks have nothing to do with social contact unless some one wants to include them in that. Contact is the areas mentioned, distance, number and etc with negative covid tests probably thrown in by the sound of thing's currently.

What on earth have accidents got to do with controlling the spread and impact of a virus?
Mearly stating that nosef@£kall is implying that things are in place so that we don’t end up like India. So that says it a ‘just in case ‘ scenario.
So shall we stop everything else ‘just in case’?

Only 163 deaths per million in India (so far). Less than 10% of the UK's
Overwhelmed hospitals, NHS etc.
They had a very poor health service six months ago too.
I don't know - and, respectfully, neither do you.
If India was twenty different countries each the population of the UK, each country's numbers would not be significant nor reported.
It is the media frightening the people with the highest numbers because of high population and India has taken over from Brazil.

Surprisingly, many African and Eastern countries that have previously dealt with epidemics, such as Sars, Ebola, etc have well developed public health systems for delivering treatment, precautions and vaccinations.
