Hi all, long time reader and now in need of some exact advice regarding a crack around a window as you can see on the photo. Apologies for the state of the uPVC and ceiling, we arent scruffy sods its just had blind casing over it for about 5 years!

We had our soffits, fascias and guttering renewed last week, and we noticed in the back bedroom that there was a lot of dust on the window and the blind. I imagine the vibrations from banging/drilling have reopened a crack that was maybe sealed with caulk. I removed the blind this weekend to find quite a large crack along the top of the window and down the sides. 2/3mm at the top (per photo) then its more of a hairline crack on the sides. FYI window is maybe 20 years old, so I presume this could also be that the foam around the window has dsiappeared over time.

As you can tell, interested in everyones thoughts on how to deal with this because I'm a little unsure how to rectify this so we don't get a crack reappearing every 6 months. There are so many competing theories about fillers around windows, decorators caulk, expanding foam etc for a crack this size. Do I make the gap bigger to fill it properly, or even use a couple of different products, deep fill filler of some description initially, then polyfilla for example to finish?

Appreciate the comments in advance.
