We are looking to move house and the property we want to buy has a crack on the kitchen floor that spans a couple of floor tiles in an arc that pretty much follows the path that the edge of the door takes when open or closed.

The house is 7 or 8 years old. There are quite a few other cracks in the house along plaster board edges and skirting board edges and normally I would not be worried about that and put it down to the house settling but I've read on a web site that cracks on more than one tile is substrata problems.

Can anyone offer any advice or opinion?

Thanks
