cracked waste pipe

I have discovered a leak in my waste water pipe. It is cast iron but joins a 'ceramic brown' pipe just before it goes underground. This is where the wider part of the ceramic pipe has cracked and is leaking. This is actually in my kitchen so as you can imagine I need to sort this out asap.

dig it out (not easy or pleasant ) cut the collar off the salt glazed pipe and fit one of

these

Thanks kev. What do I use to cut it with and do I really have to dig it out and whats that in the photo called.
