Hi

I have noticed that waste from my house flowing in the underground waste pipes gets blocked every so often. I think this is down to the fact that some of the grout between the underground pipe sections has vanished, so when waste flows over the gap it lodges itself and subsequent waste gets backup up behind it. The underground pipe sections look like a ceramic half moon shape if that helps.

My question is, what type of grout should I buy?

I can't see anything apart from the usual waterproof tile grout on sites like screwfix, and googling for this is not proving fruitful either!.

Thanks
Ade

a pic would be helpful, as I am finding it hard to understand what you are trying to explain.

also how grout has somehow managed to get inside the soil pipe

More details required: what "pipe" and where located?

How have you observed the process you describe?

If at all possible, please post pics.

I would assume from the description the OP is looking at the channel in an inspection chamber. Joints need to be filled with a strong sand/cement mix or ideally granolithic mortar.

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear enough but this is exactly what I meant. Much appreciated.
