Hi Guys

I have recently boarded and skimmed a bedroom to a property that is 100 years old and has single glazed origional windows and solid walls with no cavity or insulation.

Once the plaster had dried there was a few hair line cracks which i expected due to shrinkage where the joins were which we filled with polyfiller.

The customer turned the heating off and the weather dropped when we had all the snow,

It had a mist coat of paint applied but when it got really cold the boards cracked on nearly every joint and were big cracks,

I asked her to turn the heating back on bring it back to room temperature and the cracks closed up again so they were just hair line.

I plugged and screwed along all the joints with screws and big washers reskrimmed all the joints and skimmed over it again.

The boards were solid anyway with dab but now have the screws also.

The plaster has dried out again and there are a couple of hair line cracks nothing as bas as last time but im pulling my hair out with it.

Any ideas how to solve the cracking problem???
