Hello, I have 3 storage heaters that were working fine and suddenly one has stopped working. They are really old heaters, I think the model number is 79052(pic attached). I have checked the fuse, each heater has its own 13 Amp Switched Fused Spur with light, nothing wrong. I have removed the front cover and grill to access the controls and electrics. I did notice that a black wire (pic attached) was broken so I cut the bad piece and screwed the remainder back in, still not working.

The 3 storage heaters are connected to its own consumer box. One other point is that when the other 2 heaters are on, the lights on the switch fused box are lit up and non working one the light is not on, to me indicating no power.

Does anyone know how to fix or should I just call an electrician?

TIA

Are circuit breakers all on ? Do you have a multi meter and the knowledge to use it safely ? Switch would need testing ,and the supply to it.

Yes circuit breakers are on. Only very basic knowledge for multi meter.

Isolate the supply anyway , undo the screws and pull switch forward. Visual check for loose connections , cable insulation damage. Use multimeters continuity setting . test the fuse ,if ok fit the fuse and test for continuity on the switches terminals neutral to neutral. And line to line ,with switch in on position. No continuity on either would mean the switch is not functioning and needs replacing. If all is well at the switch then its likely to be a fault in the appliance( or possibly no supply to the switch )

Is it work disconnecting the wire from the heater connecting to the Isolator box and wiring to standard 13 amp plug and seeing if it works?
