I have bought a wooden venetian blind for the kitchen but it is 2cms too big for the window due to tiling half way up. What is the best way to cut it? I know for ordinary venetian blinds you can buy a cutter.
Hacksaw with the finest teeth blade but it's not easy, let the blade do the cutting gently. You will find it easier to use masking tape wrap round tightly then cut the whole lot in one go in the middle of the masking tape.
hopefully its not too late ideally as your blind is 2cm too big, cut 1cm off each end, this is more work, but the blind will still look "normal" if you cut 2cm off same end it may look "lop sided"
