decking base

hi looking for advices or links to other web site which show on to construct a base for decking
my garden area i would like to deck is about 4 mtrs wide and 8 mtrs long,
there is a fall in ground level of 4 inch top to bottom. ideally i would like to lay decking base on concrete pads, is it ok to have base timbers which would be treated touching ground
any help would appretied

thanks for replys
main ? i could do with been answered is it ok for treated timbers to be at ground ie touching ground or should i leave it clear of ground to prevent water pentration
