I have a shed base (framed in 100x50 stuff) decked in 19mm OSB. The shed itself doesn't cover the whole base - there's a strip about 400mm deep along the front (and the full 2400mm width of the shed) which is uncovered by the building (but overhung by the roof) left as a kind of porch or step.
I want to put something on top of the OSB in this space so that it doesn't turn to mush with rain and wet shoes.
If I put decking planks along it, the gaps in the decking will still permit water contact with the OSB (and probably keep it from drying). Could I, for example, put down a couple of layers of roofing felt on the OSB first, and then the decking? I have lots and lots of felt spare!
Would that be pretty good and water-tight for these purposes, or am I missing something?
Thanks,
