Hey,

Not that I need to use a guide, but one thing I haven't decided on yet is how to secure the frame from movement.

This guide (point:cool: suggests hammering in some steaks directly to the ground and fixing them to the frame.

How long-term is this? Is it as good as digging a hole, cementing in a post and then fixing the post to the frame? One side (the very left) can (and probably will be) anchored to a small retaining wall (not part of the house).

This is how my frame will be. I planned on doing the same as that guide, in putting some slabs down to lay the 2x6's on. Is this enough slabs? What can 2x6 span without support?

Deck is 5.2m wide at its widest reducing to 3.7m, by 3.4m long at its longest reducing to 2m.
