Hi wanted some advise.
I'm about to deck a 4m long by 3m wide deck. I have dug down so that 2m of the width (3m) is flat and length is all flat.
My decking boards will be running the length of the decking so 4m boards. I was thinking of using adjustable deck feet like the ones you get in b and q to sit the joists on that are on the level area.
I was planning on buying
2x 4m length 50mm by 150mm joist
10 x 3m length 50 by 1 50mm joist
21 x 4m decking boards.
My question is how many adjustable risers would I need, am I right in thinking I need a joist every 400 to 450mm?
I was thinking 2 packs of 10 spacing them every 400 mm with 2nd row at 1.5m then posts at 3m for the part of the deck that be off the ground (it be like 300 mm at most but on a slope).
For the adjustable risers would I be best to put hardcore down or for each foot dig small hole and put couple of engineered bricks for them to sit on?
I would also put noggin in every 400 mm to strengthen the structure.
What do you think.
