I am currently using combi-mate descalers. What is the expert opinion about the electrical ones on the market :?:

Apologies from an amateur for the incorrect terminology Kev. Sounds a bit like powerflushing, they may be useful, sometimes :?:

never had much to do with them
water here is one of the hardest in the country
read the bumph but thats about all
combi mate works for me :)

Combimate works by a known chemical process, nobody knows how the electrical or magnetic ones work (in domestic situations anyway). That is, except the manufacturers, who know they work well enough at getting money out of peoples pockets and into their bank accounts. Don't waste your money on them.

Maybe - ask your combi manufacturer. Apparently the polyphosphate type can block things up!
