Hi, I'll try to keep it quick as I'm desperate to fix this.

My boiler seems to have no hot water, and the diverted for the DHW is slightly broken.

Can someone explain how this particular diverter valve works?
I'm under the impression that the diverter valve extends it's pin to divert the flow to the DHW. so does that mean that if the pin is not extended then it diverts all flows to the central heating?

Another quite separate problem is that th central heating does not work at all.
Does the central heating definitely need a separate thermostat for the central heating to work, or is there some other thermostat in the unit. (the same way as the DHW checks it's own temperatures?

I know these questions are difficult to explain, so if there's any doubt I'll try to explain it again.
I would really appreciate the help on this as it's really important to have it sorted asap.

Thanks and best regards, Steff.

Decided to bump my own thread after everyone helped me.
The diverter valve uses a small pin to divert the water to CH or DHW, as in all CH systems.

However the pin removes itself if no HW is called for, and it reverts back to CH.

the pin pushes dwon when DHW is called, and srings back up when no DHW demand is found.

Surprising you think sarcasm is the way to get your boiler fixed, got any lights/numbers on the front of the boiler ?

there are a lot of professionals on here that give up their time for free to help people on this site, this is on top of work and life.
The way i see it if your query out of the hundreds posted every week slips the net, you either bump your own post in a polite manner or keep quiet.
Advice on here is not a god given right.

Shame you only replied when the sarcasm was added.

Saying that makes it even more unlikely that you are going to get any professional help here!

But surely the Sime is still under their seven year warrantee?

Or was it illegally installed?
