Hi,
I have just moved into a house with a Diplomat built in single gas oven model ADP1050, the fitted units which are adjacent to the oven are badly scorched on there edges suggesting that the door seal is not working correctly. The door seal has a gap on the top face in the middle of approx 180mm is this normal?
If the seal is short where can I get a spare? Will a universal seal do the job?
Anybody know where I can get a manual for this model?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers, John

Although not a diplomat, our built in oven has a similar sized gap in the middle of the top edge & has done from new. I imagine it is to ensure a certain amount of air can be drawn into the oven to allow combustion. Because ours has a grill/secondary oven above it & no unit doors flush with it, we have no problem with scorching & I would suggest the problem is bad design on the kitchen planners behalf.
