Dishwasher stops on wash

I have a Trinity Bendix DHO86 dishwasher, the problem i am having is that water is pumping in and out ok, but when the wash cycle gets to wash ( the brush symbol ), the machine just stops, i've checked the filters and the hoses and they seem fine, the spray arm is turning ok as well.
I would be grateful for any help on this matter.

It could be the heater.Usually the machine,like a washing machine,will fill with water,then heat up to the temperature required.If the heater element is not working then it will obviously not go onto the next cycle as the thermostat will not get hot enough to switch over.An element that is ok will have continuity through the element.

Or the circulation pump may be inoperative
