DISHWASHER whirlpool ADP 4501/5

Have taken out plug from front of water matrix and put it back in still does not work. There is water in left hand side of water matrix and not in the right should this be. Please help me. My machine is the Whirlpool ADP 4501/5 PLEASE PLEASE HELP
