Caveat emptor mate!
In managed properties these things are all locked away and are subject to PPM's but an Englishman can blow himself to kingdom come in his own castle!
Picture the poster... Safety is YOUR responsibility!
Or any t.at can become qualified in Gas & unvented systems in a matter of weeks!! Or any moron can give advice on these subjects unchecked on Internet forums!!
My understanding was that any Rayburn Range type appliance was not to be connected to an unvented cylinder. Reason being residual heat in the appliance.
I think my ass is still safe, but I've email AGA Rayburn technical department an I hope they will verify this info. Thanks for the heads-up on this matter.
Thank you for your recent enquiry, with this model of Rayburn, an unvented cylinder is perfectly acceptable as both burners are independent and fully-controllable.
Regards,
So that's reassuring. I read on an enthusiast site that the 400 and 800 series are fine in an unvented set-up. Huzzah! Thanks for the heads up for a potentially very dangerous situation thou
