Hi I am gutting out a house and am working on the floor just now, I’m raising it of the old concrete floor and it's been casing a lot of condensation, I don't have a lot of hight to play with so every millimetre is vital.
What I’ve done is.
1: Damped proof floor
2: layed 2” by 1” beams for floor boards to lay on (25mm high)
3: polystyrene between beams (25mm high)
4: Uni ply on top
it's seems good and sturdy to walk on but should have I left a air gap, the reason I didn't is because of Hight and didn't see the point since I was damped proof the floor.
I was told it shouldn't matter but someone told me it should
Any advice will be great
