So that will be compression soldered HEP20 fittings you need to fit then.. Just to sure they don't leak then' :rolleyes:

Alrite Gav, just having a wee laugh reading through all the replies which must have left the OP scratching his head. Compression fittings, solder caps, flattened pipes. Even a wee debate to what is most appropriate.

Just thought I'd add to the confusion. :LOL:
 
Don`t ever use pushfit fittings, ever,don`t ever use compression fittings ever, pushfit will definitely eventually fail, not all but some, compression or conex fittings,for the Numpty who says they never fail,always fail if they are fitted in a low or freezing temperature because the cold water expands and pulls the pipes out from the olive. Copper pipes everywhere and soldered fittings ALWAYS! :evil: Unless of course all joints are fully accessible and easy to repair/replace.NEVER, EVER! fit a pushfit or compression fitting under a floor, in a wall or void that you can not get to once fitted. EVER! :LOL: Point made.
 
So you have never seen copper split in freezing conditions then, by your logic we should not be using that either
