We had 6 drive past the house on Sunday. Is scrap metal at an all time high or something?

I think this year has seen them more than ever. What kind of price can you get for a pickup full?

They are round our estate twice a week with their horn so it must pay. I would say that each load would be worth at least £100 .

I was listening to Jeremy Vine on BBC Radio 2 the other day. Manhole Covers getting nicked for scrap is becoming a big problem in some areas.
