I know I'm awkward but I want to replace a ladder bracket cover (original lost my my tenant...). The trouble is I don't know who made it or where I could get a replacement from. I know I could replace all the brackets but I'd rather have the original as it would be much easier to replace. Any ideas? View media item 82754

Unless you know what make the towel warmer is, I would imagine you will struggle to find a replacement.
The brackets normally come with the rad and are made for that manufacturer (space between tubes etc)

Hi Sandy,
Unfortunately my receipt just says 'ladder radiator' and the shop no longer trades. I suppose I could get a universal set but I'm not sure if fitting them might mean removing the rad. which would be a bit of a pain.
Thanks for your interest,
John

There are adjustable brackets such as these listed on eBay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131139589301

They are usually fixed by just one screw and it may be possible to replace one at a time without removing the rad. I have never tried it, but there does seem to be a bit of adjustment so maybe you would be able to.

Failing that it may be a case of turning the valves off, draining the rad, removing and some careful measuring to refit, particularly if there is limited vertical movement in the F & R pipes.

Much appreciated. As you say it may be possible to fit one at a time but... maybe not!
Cheers,
John :)

Get some tubs and towels, shut off the valves, crack open a nut and drain, will only be 2/3 litres of water...you've already spent longer thinking about doing it than actually doing it would have taken you.
