Back in April I posted about the satnav in my Honda CRV. I was getting the dreaded 'DISC READING ERROR' message. After blasting it with compressed air, it worked for while but the problem returned. The best quote I found was £200 to clean the lens - Honda wanted £240.

Which shows you a step by step guide to cleaning the lens oneself. I bit the bullet and managed to get it all cleaned and back together in about 40 minutes and when re-installed it worked straight away and has been ever since.
I just thought it might be helpful to other members with the same problem.
