Morning,

I live in london and my dog keeps digging under the fence and escaping, How much roughly am I looking at for someone to come and bury chicken wire under the ground for the length of the fence, its about 200 feet long. it is a timber fence and i want 1ft bried and 2" of the wire showing to be stapled neatly to the botton of the fence. I am predicting a few hundred quid. what do you think?

Thanks In advance.

I lined my garden with paving slabs next to the fence, worked for me as the garden is very dense and you cannot see them, might look a bit unsightly if on show all the time.

Ash, if your dogs dig after the wires been laid... (even underground) they may rip their claws out on it.

Best to lay flags as other poster suggested.

You could try taking the spade off your dog!

Seriously though, I used a similar approach to the flagstones, but instead used breeze blocks as they are thicker than flagstones.
