So got a paper briquette log maker the other day (A device for making combustible paper logs by compressing swollen wet newspaper.) and I though it would be a good idea to dry one out in the microwave so I could test it in the log burner.
Left the kitchen only to come back to smoke coming out the microwaves door and the kitchen smelling very rancid. When I opened the microwave door, the paper briquette was smouldering profusely with glowing bright red embers.
Now my microwave smells like a camp fire inside and I can't get rid of the smell no matter what I try.
Maybe next time I will try substituting water for white spirit when making the paper briquettes as that evaporates very quickly does it not?
