Previous flat had behind one of its pair of storm doors a length of sturdy metal rod bout 70cm long with a ring/hinge at one side and at the other end a right angle bend so that a couple of inches of the rod could sit in a ring on the back of the storm door.
A very poor description but imagine a heavy duty cabin hook at 45 degrees which would prevent a door opening inwards.
Is such a thing available to buy??
