Hi all

Our front door lock has warped in that one the outside it has a 180 degree angle between the bottom and the top which means we can lock it from the outside but not the inside

I was thinking of hammering it back in place or else replacing it

Any suggestions?

thanks

Hi Woody

Sorry about that, the lock is a regular lever lock with handle

The handle on the outside is straight for the first inch top and bottom then it kind of curves outwards in the remaining four inches or so and that part has come away from the door with a gap of about 4mm at the widest part so it's curved in a semi circle, hence the 180 degree angle description

We can lock it fine from the outside but not inside

Hope this makes more sense?

It's a wooden door, I can take a pic if it helps?

I'd like to see a picture.

180 degrees is a straight line.

Is the door bent, or the handle, or the lock?
