Hi Guys,
Having a bit of a panic here.
I've had a couple walls knocked through to open up the back of the house and pretty much all the walls taken back to brick. The guys dot and dabbed standard plasterboard to the brick walls ready for plastering. Well fast forward a month and the room is decorated, new kitchen fitted etc. However I have recently stumbled upon browsing the Internet the big no no for dot and dabbing standard plasterboard to external walls due to mould behind the board. This has got me slightly worried as 50% of the walls are external and my new kitchen covers 25% of that.
My big question I suppose is, am I completely screwed here or is there a way of not causing this issue and how likely is this to be a real big problem.
My external walls are solid brick too with no insulation and to be honest are cold to touch inside the house (we have had particularly cold weather)
I will also have the same issue within the bathroom however I do know they used moisture plasterboard just within the shower area. The rest was standard board directly adhered to the walls.
