Double Glazed - Steel Support - Fixings

Hi all.

A-fixing this light:

You can see the pre-existing hole where wire exits:

As you can see there is a steel support beam behind the plastic.

I need help choosing the screws/fixings to use for this job.

It is quiet likely to be an aluminium post but even if it is steel you could use any self tapping screws or best option may be to drill a pilot hole with a 2-3mm drill bit and then fix with a suitable screw, just remember there is a cable in there to avoid.
 
Place a rubber grommet around that exposed metal too ...
I honestly can't believe someone drilled into that . Where's the cable enter the corner post? As that should be a load bearing post. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's weakened in anyway , I'm more concerned it's been fed down the hollow metal and the post isn't holding a lot , plus putting electric cables through metal with no protection on the exposed metal edges is far from ideal, especially as that hole doesn't look much bigger than the cable
