Hi There

I am not sure what they are called but I have referred to them as risers; I was wondering if it is possible to buy/replace the small plastic blocks that act a riser when you close a double glazed unit, as I have a few windows where they have broken. Please see picture below:

You'll need to know the upvc profile type so the guide fits into the channel,If your windows are rehau i can post you some out - if the windows are packed properly you don't need these anyway, are they hitting at the bottom when you close them ?

Thanks for the reply. The windows are not hitting the bottom, I just noticed they were broken & thought I best get them replaced.

I am not sure on the manufacturer, is it usually stamped anywhere I can look/check?

Regards

They arn't needed if the sashes are toe and heeled properly, IF the sash settles and drops slightly these run up blocks make the problem ten times worse, take them off and launch them, but as bullet says they're profile specific and you will need to ID your profile if you want them

Agree I take them off all new windows we fit

Thanks for the replies & advice. Out of interest how would I ID the manufacturer? The keys I have for the locks are Mila, but I guess this does not help on the window front?

somewhere round the profile should have a stamp or a number on it, open the window and look in there then google the stamp you find
