We have tree roots blocking the clay pipes that run into a manhole. The plan is to dig out and fit new "p traps" with rodding access points. How can the pvc 110mm pipe be connected to the old clay pipe.
Here's a few picks

What you show look like drainage tiles. They are used to drain the surrounding soil. They are laid as individual units and collect ground water through the gaps between the tiles. They are not for residential drainage of any kind.
What you need for taking the down pipe water is a bottle gulley (for easy rodding access ) and continuous lengths of clay or plastic pipe to take you to the manhole. Use Fernco couplings with clay, and push fit with plastic.

Thanks for the reply, I never thought of connecting with a flexible coupling, good idea. The downpipe goes into what I think is a clay " p trap" that is nicely concreted in and the clay tiles follow from there to the manhole. As the clay tiles are full of roots they need rodding out, hence the idea of access traps. Going to dig out tomorrow for a good look.
No sewage involved anywhere in this system. Which bottle gulley do you recommend?

Remove everything below the square down pipe including the P-trap and all the tiles all the way to connecting to the manhole.
Use a roddable bottle gulley. Use whatever roddable gulley is available at your local building supplies. Buy everything from the same place and they can hopefully advise you. Show them the pics you've posted here.
