downstairs lights not working

i replced my hall ceiling light which involved removing a ceiling rose. gpt the light working but now my other downstairs lights are not working (although the hall light is). i have checked and the hall light is on the downstairs lights fuse but is the only light downstairs working? any ideas appreciated

In the rose there is usually a feed and a loop feed, if they are not connected sufficiently the rest of the circuit may not work.
Applys to the live and neutrals.

send a picture of the wiring at the light. failing that describe how many cables you have and where each wire goes.

Did you put the rose back?

Before you took it down, were you able to look at the terminal blocks in it and know why each of the 9 conductors were where they were?

Sounds like you have misconected the loop. ceiling rose's not only have the supply & return from the wall switch, they also have the lighting system loop in them. Its hard to explain so here is a diagram.
