Hi,

I am moving my kitchen in order to have installed bifold doors to the back of the house.

Currently a drain gulley for kitchen waste is under the window which is to be changed to a door. It is not easily possible to feed the waste anywhere else.

The gulley is at ground level and the floor level is 2foot up. My plan is to put elevated decking at floor level so the waste pipe and gulley will be below the decking (access retained with a hatch) and therefore not causing any hazard.

My question is is it OK to have a gulley and waste pipe below a doorway?

I don't see anything in the regs but am maybe missing something.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. No. The waste pipe will exit the wall then drop a foot into the gully.

Deck will cover that but my question is it is OK to have waste pipe under a doorway its more a regs question than a practical problem.
