Hello,
apologies in advance for the non-technical terms...
I have a problem with a main drain trap's bypass plug, in the final chamber before the main sewer.
The drain is about 40yo. and plug is ceramic and it appears to have origionally been fitted by having a tar type seal to hold it in place.
Not sure if this loose plug is letting rats into the pipe, where they've gnawed the bars on the vent pipe cover!!!
(didn't know they could clib too!)
anyway, can some one tell me how it's held in place?
-----
update.. aparently bitumen and twine was used but can use roof & gutter silicone. is that right anyone?
