I am going to drain my indirect heating system to remove a radiator for decorating. Can I still leave my hotwater running on the boiler. Or should I turn it off as well. Thanks.

Yes Thanks. I have a bit of a leak on the valve joints as well needs attending too at the same time. So really have to drain it anyway. I've turned it all off at the moment. Just really need to know if I can heat the hot water whilst its off. With the immersion heater? I won't use the boiler.

If you're using the immersion heater then yes, no issue there.

If it's a vented heating circuit then you could bung the F&E tank, remove the rad and then repair the valves, minimising the water loss.
