can anyone recommend what to use to drill tumbled marble tiles as I need to mount a towel rail. I heave read about diamond core bits but I'm only needing 6mm holes etc.

Thanks

Tumbled marble is fairly soft. The arrow head tile drill bits will be sufficient. I would recommend that you pay a little bit more for the better quality ones.

6mm diamond core bits are a paint to use. To begin with you need a guide to stop it spinning off when starting to drill, it needs cooling and the cores often get clogged with the tile core.

Thanks for the advice I do have some of those drill all bits, and I have a set of the arrow heads.

Masking tape where the hole will be and I would tape a bit of cardboard over the area just in case of slips

Ended up using the all purpose drill bits from ideal world, went through easy.
