Dripping shower - where to get spares

Got the seal pack. Tube of silicone grease, circlip, and about a dozen o rings, of varying sizes.
Daft question: am I supposed to break the cartridge down completely, and use all of the bits in the bag, or are they meant as extras, just in case?

And how long should any cartridge "service" take, including vinegar soak? Just so I have some idea that I'm not over-egging it, or not doing it justice.

Scratch above - whole lot is knackered. I give up on plumbing; leave it to the pros.
(Now without water until I can get someone out).

Just get rid of shower. It's massively overpriced from Wicks £200 WOW!!
Look in Screwfix or Toolstation you'll get one half the price.
There's no point in my mind to replace cartridge when you can get so cheap,

I bought one for £60 like yours , thermostatic and 150 mm centres.
.1 bar min pressure bla bla bla... give it a go!!!!
