I have a newish dormer house in a windy spot (high ground) with a gable that reaches 10 metres at the apex. The top floor bedroom is subject to a lot of wind noise. I believe some of the noise is a baggy underlay but I think some may be via the dry verge system. Are wet verges quieter? I guess converting a dry verge to a wet verge is very involved? Dry verges have no undercloaks? Is it a job that needs scaffolding?

In case anyone is interested, visited my parents house in the last few days, it is a 1980s build with a wet verge and there is wind outside up to 75kmph but not a sound from the roof. You only hear the guesting from the windows. Wow wet verges are so much quieter
