I'm reading the blurb for Dunlop Anti-Mould Grout with Microban and it says not to use showers for two weeks - two weeks and we'll all stink by then.

Is it really two weeks or have I read it wrong .....

Application
4.
After completion of grouting, do not use showers for at least 2 weeks, and do not fill swimming pools for at least 3 weeks.

No you haven’t read it wrong; the manufacturer’s small print on all regular tiling products I know advise to wait 2 weeks days before using the shower. If you don’t you’ll invalidate the warranty & possible consequences are mould growth, early grout failure or possibly both.

damn, with three women in the house I was banking on having a usable shower again within 48 hours - is there a grout that will be usable within 48 hours?

I don’t know of one (even epoxy says no) but if there is, it’s not going to be conventional & will bust the bank big time. To be realistic, manufacturers are almost certainly “covering their asre” for the warranty & you can (probably) get away with much less than that but it’s not for me to say & I’ve never personally tested it.

Anyway, natural pheromones are supposed to be sexy, if not they can always scrub down in the kitchen sink!
