Durabella battens

Hi,

Has anyone ever installed the durabella battens acoustic floor system for a new separating floor? If so, would it be easier to build the nlb stud partitions off the floor, or straight off the joists (not battens) and add additional dwangs for plasterboard/skirting? thanks
