Soon to be tiling the concrete floor in the new kitchen. No matter how much we sweep and vaccum we never seem to get rid of all the dust on the floor. Is it worth sealing it before tiling, or will the small amount of dust not be a problem?

Also, is there an insulation one could tile over to prevent at least some of the cold from the concrete?

what type of "concrete" floor is it....
anyway as rich has siad "PRIME" it fisrt.

insulation board..yes i would advise, they start from 6mm-70mm + dedpends on how you can go, regarding how your threshold is,but the thicker the i/b the better.

how many types of "concrete" floor are there?

does insulating board (links please) need special tile adhesive?

the concrete floor it will be either 75mm thick(traditional).
sweep and use a acrylic primer..across the room, then when dry up the room.(full coverage)

or 40mm thick(gypsum based)..you will need to sand the lataince off the top off it,then prime with an acrylic or epxoy based primer.

most biulder use the latter for floors,as the drying time is 1mm per day.

for i/b use a flexiable cement based adhesive.
