The brush bar on my Dyson DC04 has stopped working.

After a quick search on google i think i am right in saying that the brush bar is powered by a 400v dc motor(surprising). Dyson DC04.jpg

This morning i have connected my multimeter but can only get a reading of .024v.

Any ideas what to do please?

They have a micro switch on the LHS that is activated when the machine is tipped back for usage. The wires to this switch commonly break. Be careful when replacing it as if the wires are wrongly routed they will just break again.
