Earthing an electric shower

I just replace my old electric shower with a new one of a similar rating. The shower installation manual mentioned nothing about earthing the shower unit to the suppling pipe work, and there is only one earth terminal which is being used by the mains in.

Do I need to earth it to this pipe work?

You need to do more than just earth it to the pipe. Use the search facility to look for earthing or bonding etc. Bonding in bathrooms etc is quite extensive.
