I've got Vinyl tiles glued with adhesive on top of marley tiles. At the moment I've been using a bolster chisel and chipping off the vinyl tile and adhesive at the same time down to the marley tile. I can only do a little at time. I've tried scrapping off the vinyl tile but the adhesive is very hard to scrap or chisel off.
Is there a similar way? I'm knackerd

I've seen people do them with a shovel / sharp spade before. Might be worth a go

I found it loosened the adhesive if you heat the vinyl tiles 1st. I used a hot air gun and found I got more of the tile up in one go. Unfortunately you are still faced with getting the adhesive off which is just pure elbow grease with a sharp scraper/chisel

I think he wants to get the adhesive up, not make it lose it's tackiness. Be careful using talc if you plan to stick anything else down onto the floor.
